Registration for the
2012 Youth Ambassadors program are open until August 7, 2011.
The registration for the
tenth edition of the Youth Ambassadors program, exchange program
of the U.S. Mission in Brazil, began on May 3, 2011. The program
will take 35 Brazilian students from public, with excellent
academic performance, history of volunteering in their
communities, good English language ability and who can represent
Brazil as "ambassadors" for an exchange of three weeks in the
United States. The initial
entries for the program this year, may be made only online. The
address is available starting today, May 3, until August 7 at
the U.S. Embassy Facebook:

After the return of the
Young Ambassadors of the United States, the embassy provides
opportunities for English courses of short duration and degree
programs through the offices of Educational Guidance -
EducationUSA. In 2011, five students
were selected for scholarships for summer courses in the U.S.
(three of whom are young ambassadors). The scholarships are
sponsored by Banco Bradesco, Leadership Institute of Rio de
Janeiro (Rio-IL) and the American Schools Cushing Academy,
Phillips Exeter Academy, Phillips Academy Andover and Culver
